This is a high quality product and keeps my tea very hot even late into the day. After buying two of these, I personally think that it is not necessary to pour boiling hot water into the container prior to the first use. The heat retention difference is negligible.The push button spout is very useful and lowers the possibility to burn oneself while pouring the drink.Buying this for my super clumsy girlfriend who spills stuff on herself all the time, she has yet to burn herself pouring herself tea using the push-button top.NOTE: If you are drinking any sugary drink, be sure to rinse out the cap after use to increase its lifespan. Since the cap is plastic, leaving sugary remains on the cap can make it a pain to clean later.

I love the sleek, elegant design of this vacuum bottle. It is also EXTREMELY functional! I made some coffee at 8AM yesterday, put it in the bottle, and drank half of it in the morning at 9am. I left it in the car all day, and the second half of my coffee was still hot at almost 5pm!The only weird thing about the product was that all of the packaging and instructions (yes, apparently vacuum mugs need instructions) were entirely in Japanese. As much as I enjoy looking at funny Japanese animations and trying to figure out what they mean, I guess I would have liked to see the instruction manual in English (if at all).

As always, a quality product from Zojirushi. I have also a rice cooker I have been using for 6 years and a water-boiler that I bought second-hand and has been going strong for a total of 4+ years between the old owner and me. I just bought this vacuum bottle and it seems like an equally solid piece of craftsmanship. Was a bit pricey, but I'm hoping it'll hold up for years and save me money in the long run. It certainly keeps liquid hot for a full day.
