My 5 year-old son loves it

This is a great product. The bottom compartment is really for rice, but you can put any hot food in it, though I've never tried it with soup. It really keeps the food warm.The only surprise was that the product was delivered with instructions in Japanese. That said, it is really simple and you don't really need the instructions.One pleasant surprise is that the bag can be used as some sort of mat (it unfolds) and that it is VERY easy to clean (you guessed...5 year old). Overall, I'm very happy with this product. I would recommend it for both adults and children.

Way smaller than expected

I've had the same mini Bento lunch jar for over 3 years. It worked EXTREMELY well. It kept the food warm/hot for hours. I finally decided that it was time to get a new one.The main container is much smaller than the mini Bento lunch jar I currently have. While I like the new carrier (bag) that came with the different components, this is really decided for someone much younger - toddler/little kid.
