These plastic rice paddles have a matte golf-ball-like indented textured serving surface that gives them non-stick qualities. The handles are glossy with the upper side smooth and the lower side ridged; the only flaw here is that it would have been better if the upper side were ridged and the lower side were smooth, or if both sides were just smooth. The ridges would have made a good thumbhold, but are slightly uncomfortable where they actually are, since they press into the side of your finger. (Given the price, this is a minor issue, anyway.)The smaller size is just right for packing rice into a small bento box. They come packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve that identifies them as Inomata brand, made in Japan. The larger paddle is 7 3/4" long, but the smaller one is 6 1/4" long.

I needed rice paddles, and this is perfect. I mostly used the small one for my 3 cup cooker, but when i got a bigger one, the big paddle was nice too

These definitely look more impressive in the photo than they do in reality. The smallest of the two is barely the size of a tablespoon. They are neither well-made or particularly robust. Suspect they probably sell for $1.50 in Chinatown.
