This food jar is by far the best ive used for thermal retention etc. a little more lite weight than a couple other big name brands but this is a top notch product. I heat up soup or stew at 5:00am and and put hot tap water in for a few mins before putting in the food to preheat the jar,and store the jar in a thermal bag as i keep my food in my car during the winter months in chicago. At 12:30-1:00 pm the food is still so hot i have to blow on it to avoid burning my mouth and I like hot coffee in the morning so Im no wimp when it comes to imbibing hot liquids.The curved spoon is a big plus as well the handle does not rest in the food as much as a straight handle spoon and its edge is a pretty close match for the bottom curve of the jar so you dont have to scrape for that last drop of food.All around this is a great product!

These lunch jars are great. Your food will stay hot for hours. Beats buying fast food any day. High quality.

Great food jar! Large enough to serve two people. Today, I used it for the first time, and it worked great. My day went as follows:« 4:45AM--Filled thermos with hot water while I ate breakfast« 5:00AM--Filled thermos with boiling hot homemade soup. (2---2 cup glass round storage containers filled it completely.)« 5:30AM-8:00AM--Spinning/driving--thermos in car @ about 40 degrees« 8:00AM-1:00PM--Office room temperature« 1:00PM--Late working lunch in the next town. I was thankful no lunch prep was needed. 8 hours since filling thermos!! Very happy to say my soup was very hot and had to eat it very slowly! Couldn't finish soup« 2:30PM--Tried another scoop of soup to test temperature, not quite as hot, but perfect soup temperature!Bag is nice and is large enough to fit a drink beside the thermos. The spoon is absolutely perfect for scooping food from a large jar but is rather awkward to eat from. With that being said, the spoon is well made, sturdy, and does such a great job of scooping, I couldn't possibly deduct a star. The only other down side to this thermos is the price, but filling this jar often with healthy food will soon pay for itself. EnjoyUpdated-Perfect for cold smoothies. I freeze fresh strawberries and process with vanilla yogurt. Keeps nice and cold---too cold to eat quickly. Love it in the heat of summer!
