I burned my tongue the first time I drank coffee from this.It retains heat so well that I find myself questioning everything I thought I knew about thermodynamics.

I have a Hydro Flask and I love it but I needed something a bit smaller and the ability to open with one hand. The Zojirushi thermos is perfect for this and retains both hot beverages and cold ones for a good length of time. Love that the mouth piece and gaskets come apart of easy cleaning and go back together with ease. This thermos is also leak proof and has a locking mechanism on the lid so you can throw it in your backpack with no worries. All around great product and I'm thinking of getting another of a different color.

This thermos is absolutely the best thermos I've ever used. Not only that, I can't think of any ways it could be better. It's amazingly good at keeping its temperature. It's better than I had thought possible. When I put cold drinks in it, it's good for hours and hours. I've put ice cubes in it in the morning and had them still whole later that night. I don't know how long it keeps it's temperature because I've always finished my drink before that happens. When I pour hot drinks in it, it keeps it so hot that hours later I need to pour it into an external mug and wait for it to cool. If I wanted to take a hot drink to go I'd need to leave the lid off a while to get it to the right temperature. The insulation is so good that if you put boiling water in it and touch the outside, it feels perfectly room temperature. The cap comes apart and is easy to clean. The seal does not leak what so ever. This is absolutely the perfect design and execution this product could have. There are no flaws. I use it instead of a cup because it keeps the temperature better. I pour drinks out of cans into it just so they'll be cold longer. It's amazing.
