Well, we are farmers and have turned to thermos for years for hot beverages to keep our food hot in the field. This year, we decided it was time to upgrade our line of thermoses. Not knowing what to get, we bought two of each Sipp-line Thermos food jars (teal and plum) and four Thermos King jars for a total of 8. All performed the same. The Sipps vaccuum seal shut which keeps the food very warm but sometimes hard to open. We have keep everything in these jars from eggs to casserole/hotdishes to soup. It really does keep food hot for the 7 hours as promised. We found if we fill the thermos with hot water first to warm the lining, and then fill with the food, it kept it warmer longer than the promised 7 hours. All in all, we love both lines and would highly recommend it to hard workers out there who want a warm meal while away from the house. (sorry for any typos - on smart phone writing this)

The Thermos Sipp style keeps food hot much better than the Thermos Nissan style. I did a side-by-side test by pouring boiling water into each (after pre-warming as the directions say) and letting them sit in my warm kitchen for 3 hours. After 3 hours, the Nissan bottle temp was down in the unsafe range (below 140 degrees). The Sipp was 162 degrees. Tested another Sipp and got same results. Took the Nissan style back to the StuffMart.

This thing is AWESOME!!!!! I use my Food Jar all the time and it keeps things extremely hot for hours. Very early in the morning (4:30 or 5:00 am) I heat water in my tea kettle and pour it into the Food Jar while I am preparing my lunch. Dump the water, add the heated food, and my lunch is too hot to eat @ 1:00 or 1:30pm. I can't imagine living without this product. I like it so much, I have bought one for everyone in my household. You won't regret this purchase!
